Kamaishi Sprawling Wind Farm and Wayama Ranch
The wind farm has been producing 42,900 Wh since 2004 around the Wayama Ranch, adjacent to Tono and Otsuchicho on the west of Kamaishi. The windmills lined up overlooking the plateau have an excellent contrast with the mountain azaleas and double cherry blossoms in the spring and the soba fields that bloom pure white flowers in the summer. Besides, the view of Mt. Hayachine and the Tono basin from the so-called “Three Green Line” that goes from Shinyama Ranch to Yamaguchi Ranch via Wayama Ranch is also spectacular.
